March 14, 2012

Hi Parents!

It is that time of the year that we announce our plans for the annual recital.  The students have been working hard since October, and while most of us had a works in progress showing in December, we would now like to show you how much further we’ve come.

This show, for those who are new to us, is a stage performance complete with professional costumes. The recital is tentatively set for Thursday, June 8, 2012 at The Shriner’s Silver Gardens Event Center in Southfield. This will be our third year and hope it will be an experience the students will never forget. In order to continue moving forward with this endeavor, I need to get confirmation of commitment from the parents.  Here are a few more pieces of information about what to expect, so that you may make an informed decision.  Please fill out the bottom portion of this letter and return it to me by April 1, 2012.

First, let me state that all the students are invited to participate in the annual recital, if you choose not to for whatever reason, your child may continue dance lessons with Living Arts Dance Company. Costumes are ordered from a professional costume company at a cost of $50.00 (fifty dollars) due by April 15, 2012. Parents are responsible for shoes and tights that the students will wear for the recital. More information about tickets will be forthcoming.
